Lawn Watering
James Gill of Gill Landscape Nursery in Corpus Christi, Texas says that gardeners in his region need to monitor the watering of their lawns.
Do you use a sprinkler system? James' rule of thumb is to water one inch, one time per week but do not add one inch all at once. Instead, apply water 1/2 inch at a time. For example, water one cycle at 1/2 an inch,and then water another cycle at 1/2 an inch,waiting at least an hour between the end of the first cycle and the start of the second.
