Working here always brings its share of surprises. On Sunday I had a customer come in and ask if we had any tomato hornworms on our plants in the garden. I said, “No! Thank goodness”. Much to my surprise, she said “Well darn it! Neither do mine!”. Wait…what?! She then explained that she grows tomatoes just for the hornworms. She uses them as treats for her reptiles, and this year she hasn’t had any! So I looked it up online and there they were. Tomato Hornworms: 15 worms for $15. Seriously?! I’ve been losing money all these years! It just goes to show, one persons pest is another one’s treat.
