what can I use to fertilize my lawn with after this drought i have patches of brown spots and after it rained down here in pettus texas alot of the onion weeds came out what can use to get rid of them.

Hi Janie – lots of lawns have suffered this summer. See if you can determine whether the brown patches are actually dead, or just damaged. Look at the runners for anything green/signs of life. If totally brown and dead, you’ll need to replant those areas. If still alive, you should fertilize with a good organic like Medina Growin’ Green. If you come into Corpus, we’ve got it available, or you can find it at Zimmer’s in Beeville. Focus on getting your lawn healthy first, then see whether that helps with the weeds.

I have not been able to view Deanna’s video on “Green up your lawn &garden” for the last two weeks. Also visited your web site looking for a link, but was not able to view it there either. I checked out YouTube but didn’t find it there. Are you able to post on Facebook?

Hi Charlotte – I’m not sure what’s going on with that video. I’ll try to track it down and fix it here on the website. In the meantime, I can tell you that DeAnna is encouraging everyone to use our favorite fertilizer, Medina Growin Green! It’s all organic and great for lawns this time of year because it adds nutrients and helps build healthy soil underneath. It’s also great for trees, shrubs, flowers, veggies – pretty much everything! Great stuff.
